#TuesdayBoozeday: Cell phone vs. drunk driving http://t.co/buMs0FrT9Q pic.twitter.com/1HZPlfEeIo

Mythbusters is always taking on big rumors and misconceptions, and when they aren't busy making things explode, they can actually go a long way toward promoting safety.
One safety myth, started by a University of Utah study in 2006, is that talking on a cell phone impairs a driver as much as being drunk.
Any myth that involves getting drunk always tops the Mythbuster's list. It's not irresponsible drinking... it's for science.
What they found confirmed the 2006 study and then some. The Mythbusters failed a closed-course road test that they had easily passed while sober and undistracted. However they did even more poorly when talking on cell phone than while driving tipsy.
Conclusion: driving while talking on a cell phone is banned in many states for a reason.
Come down to Autobahn USA for more driving-related science. We hope you'll come and test drive one of our used vehicles, preferably cell phone free.
